Who we are

Ask GA4 is operated by Sailors (sailorslab.com). This policy covers the Ask GA4 application at https://askga4.sailorslab.com. It explains what Google user data the app accesses and how that data is used, stored, shared, and deleted.

Contact legals@sailorslab.com about this policy or about data stored for your account.

What Ask GA4 does

Ask GA4 lets you sign in with Google, see the Google Analytics 4 properties that account can open, and ask Google Analytics Advisor a question about one property. The reply is shown in the app so you can read it again later.

Google user data we access

When you choose to sign in and allow access, Ask GA4 requests these permissions from Google:

  • Your email address and, if your Google account has one, your name. This comes from the openid, email, and profile permissions, so Ask GA4 can recognize your account.
  • Read-only access to Google Analytics (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly), so the app can list the GA4 properties your Google account is allowed to open.
  • Access to Google Analytics Advisor chat (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.chatbot.read), so the app can send the question you type and receive Advisor's reply for the property you selected.

Ask GA4 does not ask you for a company, job title, or country. It does not ask Google for permission to change your Analytics configuration, create ads, or read Gmail, Drive, or other Google products.

How we use Google user data

Ask GA4 uses Google user data only to provide the features you see in the app:

  • Sign you in and keep your session.
  • Show the GA4 properties your Google account can open.
  • Send the question you write, for the property you select, to Google Analytics Advisor, and show the reply.
  • Save that conversation so you can open it again.

We do not sell Google user data. We do not use it for advertising, retargeting, or to determine creditworthiness. We do not use it to train a model of our own. Google processes the Advisor request under Google's terms, privacy policy, and generative AI use policy. Advisor replies can be inaccurate.

Limited use

Ask GA4's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

People can read stored Google user data only to operate Ask GA4, to secure it, to comply with the law, or when you ask us to. We do not allow human reading of that data for other purposes.

What we store

After you grant access, Ask GA4 stores:

  • Your email address and name, when Google provides them, on your account profile.
  • The Google access token and refresh token, on the server only. The web page does not receive those tokens to display or reuse.
  • The questions you send, the property you selected, and the Advisor replies, including tables, so a conversation can be restored.

Who else receives data

Ask GA4 shares data only with the services that run the product:

  • Google, to sign you in, list GA4 properties, and answer through Analytics Advisor. Google receives the question and the property you selected.
  • Supabase, which stores the account, the tokens, and the conversations.
  • Render, which hosts the application.

We do not share Google user data with advertisers or data brokers.

How long we keep it

Account, token, question, and reply data are kept while your Ask GA4 account exists, so you can sign in and reopen a conversation. If you revoke Google access, Ask GA4 can no longer call Analytics on your behalf. Copies already stored remain until you ask us to delete them, or until we delete them because the account is closed.

Deletion

Email legals@sailorslab.com from the Google account you used, and ask us to delete your Ask GA4 data. We will delete the stored profile, Google tokens, questions, and Advisor replies for that account. You can also revoke Ask GA4 at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking stops new access. It does not, by itself, delete data already stored. Use the email above for deletion.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Google tokens are stored on the server and are not written into the page for the browser to read. Access to stored data is limited to the people who operate Ask GA4 and need it to provide or support the service.

Children

Ask GA4 is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
